Master of Science - Wildlife/Fisheries Biology

The MS in Applied Ecology and Conservation admits students each fall and spring. 入学 is competitive and the deadline for application is March 1 for fall and November 1 for spring. Applications after the deadlines will be considered based on availability.

Interested candidates must follow the below procedures.

Send official undergraduate and graduate transcripts to: FSU alumni do not need to send FSU transcripts as FSU Office of Graduate Services will have access to alumni transcripts. However, all transcripts outside of FSU must be sent.

提交 official scores of the GRE (Graduate Record 入学s) Test
提交 supplemental application materials that include statement of purpose, resume and letters of reference. Statement of Purpose and resume can be emailed to wwilson@volamdolong.com. Letters of reference must be original. More information about the supplemental application will be emailed to applicants after the initial application form is received.

Letters of Reference: Applicants seeking admission to the program are asked to obtain three letters of reference, two of which must be academic. The applicant should provide the respondent with the request for recommendation form.

Statement of Purpose: All applicants are to provide a typewritten statement (limited to three pages single spaced).

Major Professor Form: Students must complete the form for designating a major professor. In order to receive consideration for admission students must contact faculty in the department of Biology and obtain agreement by a faculty member that will become the student’s major professor. When the major professor agrees to mentoring the student, the faculty designation should be indicated on the major professor form. Major professors should be chosen based on the alignment of the student and faculty research interests.
